Presidential Primary Ballots are Hitting Mailboxes This Week!
Ballots for the March 5, 2024, presidential primary are being sent starting February 12, 2024
Ballots for this year’s Super Tuesday presidential primary on March 5, 2024, will begin hitting voters’ mailboxes this week. The presidential primary officially kicks off the 2024 election cycle in Colorado.
The presidential primary in Colorado is a binding primary, which means that Colorado’s delegates who vote for our nominee at the Democratic National Convention this August in Chicago will be bound by the results of the presidential primary.
“We’re thrilled that Colorado will be a part of Super Tuesday. This primary is a great opportunity for Democrats and unaffiliated voters to share our values with the nation, and we look forward to sending a strong delegation to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention in August,” said Shad Murib, Chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. “Unlike the Colorado GOP, who have fought tooth-and-nail to suppress the unaffiliated vote in primaries, Democrats embrace unaffiliated voters and look forward to building an even stronger coalition to deliver big wins up and down the ballot this fall.”
Voters will begin receiving their ballots in the mail this week. Democrats will receive the Democratic primary ballot. Unaffiliated voters will receive both Democratic and Republican primary ballots, and may only return one of those ballots.
