Rep. Mary Young’s career in public education motivated her to pursue local politics to help overcome the disparities she recognized in the community.

As a school psychologist, Mary saw how a lack of funding and accessibility too often prevented families from receiving the quality education and the healthcare they deserved. One step to bridge this gap is her work with the University of Northern Colorado to found the School of Osteopathic Medicine, which Mary hopes will provide more trained physicians in a time of great need, to better assist our increasingly diverse population, and give an economic boost to Weld County. This new resource is yet another example of Mary working to cut rising costs for all Coloradans, and to promote a flourishing economy that will build wealth and financial security for our working families.

Rep. Mary Young’s passionate, independent voice is vital for Colorado. She hopes to once again earn the support of her community to serve House District 50.
