The City of Greeley is deciding whether to spend $1 billion on a sports arena/hotel/water park in west Greeley. We are very concerned about this project:
- A few investors will make money on the project.
- Greeley taxpayers, their children, and their grandchildren will have to guarantee the debt be repaid.
- Most Greeley residents, who will be paying for this project for generations, won’t be able to afford to go to the hotel, water park, or hockey arena (a minor league hockey game ticket is estimated to cost $100).
What you can do:
- Contact members of the Greeley City Council at cityclerk@greeleygov.com and urge them to vote no on the Cascadia Project.
- Attend the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 6:00pm to urge the council to vote no.
- Talk to Greeley friends and family and urge them to contact the city council to vote no on the project.
- The Greeley City Council is taking public comments regarding the project.
