In five weeks America will make history… or be history. You can feel the anxiety any time you talk with friends or family. I am sure everyone will be relieved when the election is finally over, and yet the outcome may either make the anxiety worse or at worst, put the country in turmoil. So what can we do for these next few weeks to pass the time and keep our sanity? Like everyone else, I am tired of the constant back and forth of high hopes and sheer terror. It is said that you can’t both wring your hands and roll up your sleeves at the same time. Although I am losing energy to fight the good fight, I know that there is still much work to be done. Being active and volunteering is still the best antidote to anxiety and complacency. That being said, there are many opportunities in the next few weeks to roll up your sleeves.

Right now, you could join us in canvassing for your favorite Democratic candidates. Every weekend there are canvassing and phone banking opportunities. Sign up for available spots to canvass for Yadira Caraveo. There are also many phone banking and texting opportunities every week that need your help as well as post card writing.
