The Johnstown BBQ Day Parade starts at 10:00 am, but we’ll need to start lining up around 8:30 am. Join us for the first parade of the 2024 election cycle! We need walkers to carry banners and to hand out candy and information to participants. Candidates are encouraged to participate. Johnstown has a great turnout from northern Colorado. The theme is western and we have our famous white hats and aviator glasses you can use to enhance the Biden image. Also, wear your jeans and a white shirt if possible. Parade Route: The official parade route begins at the intersection of Telep Avenue and N 3rd Street, proceeding south on Telep, then eastward on N Park Avenue until reaching Jay Avenue. It will then briefly turn south on Jay Avenue before bending onto Charlotte Avenue, heading east. The parade will continue along Charlotte Avenue, turn north onto Columbine Avenue, and then west onto N 2nd Street, passing by the old High School (now Roosevelt Middle School). Finally, it will make a northward turn onto N Greeley Avenue, where the parade will come to an end shortly after.
